History
The church began as a mission center and was served by the following priests: Fr. Agustin O. Gelera, Fr. Rex M. Ibañez, Fr. Eduardo T. Bersamin, and Fr. Noel A. Abiertas.
Fr. Abiertas wrote the letter proposing for the elevation of the mission center to a parish. On June 13, 2019, it was canonically erected into a parish by Most Reverend Isabelo C. Abarquez, D.D., Bishop of Calbayog. Its first parish priest is Fr. Basil S. Salino, who had been priest-in-charge since March 15, 2019.
Architecture
The church is painted white with gray stone exterior as accent as seen decorating the posts, pilasters, and moldings. The portico by the entrance also serves as balcony, and the primary entryway is a rectilinear door. Above the facade is pierced with arches and an oculus on the pediment.
Celebration
The feast day of St. Anthony of Padua is June 13.
