History
In the past, Belison was a barrio of the municipality of Patnongon. Belison was organized in 1810 when Francisco Roque was the gobernadorcillo. It was made into an independent town through Executive Order No. 421 by President Carlos P. Garcia on March 10, 1961. Its jurisdiction was defined to include not only Belison but also Boroc-boroc, Buenavista, Concepcion, Cotcot, Delima, Ipil, Maradiona, Mojon, Rombang, and Sinaja, all of which previously belonged to Patnongon.
The church was established in 1965.
