Shrine of St. Vicente Ferrer is a Roman Catholic church located in the municipality of La Castellana, Negros Occidental, Philippines.

History
The town is located at the foot of Mt. Kanlaon. Once part of Marayo (the present-day municipality of Pontevedra), it was called Lapak and eventually renamed after Paseo de la Castellana of Spain.
It was a vast wilderness in the olden times. Its population consisted of people who hailed from Marayo in search for better living prospects. They cut through the woodlands and thick vegetation to reach the area that where there was an abundance of food. Soon, large swathes of land were cleared to give way to sugarcane plantations.
La Castellana already existed as a pueblo 1894. It officially became a town on January 5, 1918.
A church that once existed was put to the torch by the destructive arrival of American colonizers. Recollect priests also faced the devastation that was the result of the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon in 1904.
In 1920, Fr. Juan Lavaca, OAR, initiated the construction of the present-day church. After it was damaged from a fire in 1949, it was rebuilt by Fr. Francisco Azcarate.
The church was handed over to the Columban Fathers in July 1950.
Celebration
The feast of St. Vincent Ferrer is every April 5th in a celebration called Banana Festival.
