Our Lady of Annunciation Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Calbiga, Samar, Philippines.

History
After the Jesuits arrived in Samar in 1596, they established a church in Calbiga as a visita of Umauas (present-day Villareal). When they were expelled in 1768, they were taken over by the Franciscans.
Three years later, the church was raised into a parish with Fr. Miguel Rico de Jesus, OFM, as the first parish priest. For the lack of ministers, Umauas was annexed to it. Umauas would be renamed Villareal and seceded to exist independently on March 12, 1863.
An early church was built by Fr. Juan Caballero de Brozas in 1788 and it was under the invocation of Nuestra Señora de la Anunciacion. Unfortunately, the 18th-century church was destroyed by a typhoon. After it was rebuilt in 1808, it became dilapidated and did not survive.
In the 19th century, a new church was built by Fr. Francisco Moreno de Montalbanejo in 1853. Afterwards, church-building using stone was initiated by Fr. Francisco Mendez in 1876 but it was destroyed by storms. Reconstruction was done during the time of Fr. Deogracias Montero.
Architecture
The church is made asymmetrical by a bell tower that is erected in the epistle side. The facade itself is flanked by two lateral side walls, one of which is built recessed. By the entrance is a portico supported by columns and decorated with corbels and dentil. The facade itself features varying stone materials and decorated with engaged columns, and gablets. The pediment is recessed and on its face is a window that bears the image of the patroness.
Celebration
The feast day of Our Lady of Annunciation is March 25 and the town celebrates the Pahoy-Pahoy Festival.
