Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic and Marian church located in Canaman, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

History
Canaman comes from the local word that means a place where building materials can be obtained. It is said that in the long past, its lands were thick with forest from which people hacked trees to be used to construct their dwellings.
According to some accounts, Catholic missionaries of Nueva Caceres chanced upon its location after they lost their way along Bicol River. Thinking they were going eastward, they happened to see human settlements upon entering Canaman creek.
A church began as a visita of Nueva Caceres (Naga City) and was established as a doctrina during the Franciscan’s chapter meeting in Manila in June 1583. Its first parish priest was Fray Pedro Matias de Andrade. At the same time, it was raised into a pueblo. A stone church was built in the next decade and reconstructed over a century later in 1669 within the term of Fr. Acacio de la Concepcion.
The town of Canaman ceased to exist and its territories were annexed to Nueva Caceres and Magarao upon the passage of Act No. 959 on October 23, 1903. It regained its municipal status in 1909.
Architecture
The church looks modern in contrast to the brick tower that stands in the gospel side. Solomonic columns support the portico and embellish the facade. A statue of the patroness is enshrined centrally in its facade before an shallow arch.
Celebration
The feast day of Our Lady of the Assumption is August 15.

The parish office is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday to Saturday. On Sunday, it is open 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN. It is closed every Monday.
