History
The old name of San Dionisio is Lakdayan, and it was renamed during the Spanish period. It was part of the jurisdiction of Concepcion and later of Sara, separating from the latter through a Royal Decree in 1895.
The first parish priest was Fr. Casto Roza, who served beginning in 1896.
