The parish was established in 1991. It is run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, and they also manage the Don Bosco Retreat House and Don Bosco Youth Center.

The feast of St. John Bosco is every January 31.

The parish office is open daily except Sunday from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. On Saturdays, it is open until 12:00 noon.
