Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows Church is a Roman Catholic and Marian church in San Julian, Eastern Samar, Philippines.

History
The church was founded by Jesuit missionaries and it was a visita of Sulat. Its settlement was established along the Libas River and thus it was known as Libas.
When the Jesuits left in 1768, the church was taken over by the Franciscans who served the parish in Sulat. In 1781, Fray Melchor Claver organized Libas into a village and led the building of convent, casa tribunal, and cemetery. On July 4, 1863, it was organized into a town and the church was a declared a parish on August 25, 1871. The first parish priest was a secular clergyman named Fr. Pedro Baul and the church was dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows.
In the following decades, the town grew. Fr. Julian Diaz proposed to transfer the poblacion to Nonoc to take advantage of the thriving local economy. The move was approved on April 7, 1886 and it was implemented on August 14, 1887. The town was also renamed to San Julian. Interestingly, record from the Diocese of Borongan placed the foundation of the church on April 29, 1887.
Architecture
The church has a historical look, and upon closer inspection it seems to have retained the old masonry in its foundation and nave walls. Moreover, additions to the structure made in recent times are visible such as the concrete layers in its portico, facade and belfry, and the metal roofing. A bare wall of what might have been a church tower stands in the epistle side in ruins. The front wall has three glass windows, the one in the center on the pediment bearing the image of the patroness. The pediment also has a blind rose window with a cross in high relief.

The feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows is July 16.
