The town was established by virtue of Republic Act No. 609 on May 1, 1951. Its constituent villages include Maydolong, Balogo, Maybocog, Omawas, Tagaslian, Kampakirit, Suribao, Mayburak, Kanmanungdong, Malobago, Tabi, Maytigbao, and Kanluterio.
The church was established on November 18, 1956.
Celebration
