History

Fr. Nestor Attillo was assigned to then the chaplaincy of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in the upland village of Jaclupan in 2007. He was preceded by Fr. Jomar Corvera, Fr. Reil Cantillas, and Fr. Joeryl Chan.

The church was established to serve churchgoers of Jaclupan, Camp 4, Manipis, and surrounding areas. They no longer had to travel considerable distance to attend religious services in St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church in Tabunok or San Pedro Calungsod Parish Church in Cantabaco, Toledo City.

A groundbreaking rite was conducted for the building of the new church in August 2012. The chapel was elevated to a parish on the canonical erection on October 1, 2021 in time for the 500th year celebration of the beginning of Christianity of the Philippines.

The church complex sits on a 3,094 square meters, and the church has a capacity of 700.

Architecture

The church is currently undergoing construction. According to the architectural plan, its facade will have a small area for a portico in front of the arch entrance. It is flanked by arch windows, the epistle side of which features the image of St. Pedro Calungsod. The niche of the patroness will be found in a broken pediment (which will be flanked by two angels) that then rises to a steeple. The steeple will contain four spires, a pierced lantern, and a quadrilateral belfry that is crowned with a dome.

The floor plan of the church includes a pair of ambulatories covered with red roof and that flank the nave. The nave walls are pierced with arch apertures. Its basement is a parking lot. The gilded retablo was rendered by Glemend Stained Glass and Retablo Fabrication.

Celebration

The feast day of Our Mother Perpetual Help falls on the last Saturday of June.
